Streams for St Kilda Saints vs Adelaide Crows

With all venues that are non-Victorian being considered to play AFL games during the current lockdown, the Saints and Crows are headed to the far north, for a treat for Cairns locals, as they will duke it out, at Cazaly’s Stadium.  St Kilda have not been consistent enough to reach their 2020 heights yet, with a 5-7 record, following a tight 9-point loss against the Swans last weekend.  Adelaide have caused some surprises but are struggling as expected at 4-8, and were nipped by the Magpies in Adelaide last weekend, by 5 points, leaving them 15th.  Both clubs will need to adjust to the heat of Cairns, even in winter, as conditions in the early 20s await; while undoubtedly a good crowd of AFL lovers will be on hand at this rarely used venue.

St Kilda have decided to leave Ross and Membrey out of the touring party for this game, while Geary is hurt again and unavailable, and they did not select young rookie Clavarino to partake in this venture.  Long returns to bolster the defenders across fullback, and experienced forward Jack Lonie is back at forward pocket, while Paul Hunter is named on the Saints bench for this game.  Adelaide have omitted Scholl and O’Connor and are yet to name last week’s med-sub Murray, with the likelihood of Scholl or perhaps Himmelberg being named in that role here.  Sam Berry plays across half forward in this game for the Crows, while they will hand a debut to Josh Worrell who will play in the halfback line, he is a tall defender, selected 28th overall in the 2019 draft, from Bentleigh, Melbourne.

St Kilda took advantage of the Crows bad run of losses in 2020 defeating them by 23 points, and would love to record a similar score here, in order to get their season headed in the right direction.  Currently, Adelaide are not likely to feature in the top 8, as they are lowly on the ladder and $41 chances of moving into a finals qualification position, while the Saints are $6 and must win this type of game to improve their chances of playing finals again.  Bookies cannot split these teams in the win market, as they are both $1.91, while the margin handicap market suggests the Saints win by a point or two.

PREDICTION: Flip a coin, Adelaide for me, by less than 10.

BETTING TIP: $2.40 for either team to win by 1-39 makes sense, based on your preference.
